The Gen.2 design was driven by customer feedback, while the Gen.1 design achieved a superb dust seal when applied many customers found the technique for sealing the cap a little cumbersome. The Gen.2 design allows for a more natural and crisp application signalled by an audible click when locked in place correctly.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Gen. 2 Checklock design also improves on the embedding of for the centralising reflector strip used to assist in lining up the coupling with reversing cameras.
